WE GO WHERE HE GOES
Making a difference at home and around the world.
Through consistent outreach efforts, we strive to accomplish this goal locally and globally with our partners. Our hope is to share the love of Christ and serve others.
GLOBALLY
ACT – North Africa
ACT is working to see anti-human trafficking measures developed in North Africa through reduced vulnerability to exploitation, an enhanced sense of freedom and restoration of those who have been exploited and abused, and greater commitment to upholding the dignity and value of all people.
Disciple Makers
Disciple Makers helps fulfill the Great Commission by establishing indigenous churches among the unsaved, unreached and unengaged peoples of the world.
Missions Ministries
Mission Ministries goal is to transform lives and communities in Mexico by partnering with local pastors and their congregations to meet the spiritual needs of “the least of these”. They build homes for the homeless, provide medical care for the sick, and offer expanding educational support for children in the poorest areas. Their short term mission trips are adventures in faith and service as participants share a transformative team experience and make God’s love known in word and deed.
North Africa – Tony and Freddie Herrera
Tony Herrera is IDEAS Director of Project Operations. He and Freddie joined IDEAS in 2008 and lived in Tunisia for 10 years. Tony has worked with children and adults with intellectual disabilities and also has experience in community development and, most recently, in international relationship building.
Freddie is International Finance Director with an IDEAS partner and International Finance Consultant for various IDEAS projects. She offers consulting and training in financial management to global workers and local communities, helping build capacity and reinforce the sustainability of projects.
Together, with their two children Marc and Matthew, the Herreras have been members of Mountainview since 2005.
Recovery in Ukraine
Recovery in Ukraine was organized to support drug and alcohol rehabilitation in Kherson, Ukraine. Since the war, they have changed their efforts to provide support for organizations dedicated to providing food for people going through unimaginable circumstances as well as supporting refugees who have fled to the United States.
Ukraine | TCI
We financially support TCI (Tavriski Christian Institute) so that they can train current and next generations of pastors and leaders to start new churches where churches didn’t exist under communism in Ukraine.
YWAM – Azua – Dominican Republic
The current goal is to build a base for training and equipping local leaders to take the gospel to their community. As this base is being built with our partnership, they are also bringing reconciliation and discipleship in a variety of ways in their local community.
LOCALLY
Backpack Society
Backpack Society offers hope through a consistent bag of easy to prepare meals on the weekends so kids can focus on the import things – like being a kid. They also offer weekly groceries to their entire family.
Bridge of Hope
We financially support Bridge of Hope, which exemplifies Christ’s love to homeless women and children so that they can intentionally end homelessness for children and their moms one family at a time.
Colorado Kids Belong
An organization that raises awareness about the needs of those in foster care and helps churches create wrap-around ministries to help Godly foster care families stay in the fight and feel supported.
Crossroads International
Crossroads graciously and respectfully reaches out International students at colleges and universities in the United States so they may know Jesus as Lord and deepen their personal relationship with Him. They are then encouraged to develop leadership skills to help them prepare to serve God when they return home in another part of the world.
Foster Care
Mountainview is dedicated to those most at risk in our community. Children who are in the foster care system not by their choosing or because of their actions need our support more than ever. That is why we have partnered with Care Portal, a website that connects us with tangible needs in the foster care community to help children feel cared for and protected.
