Family
Whenever possible, Kids View and Student Ministries strategically work together to blur the lines between the two areas and serve families as a whole. This effort includes events designed for all ages, regularly teaching on the same topic, and supporting each other's events and programming.
Some of what Family Ministry does:
- Dads' events like bowling, hiking and day at the farm
- Revelation 5:9 Day in August, a new family service project
- Move up days
- Quarterly communion experiences where 5th-12th graders participate together on Sunday morning at 10
- Cohesive effort for kids' and students' tithes to go to the same cause, such as Active Water
- Parents Praying Over Teens
This year, we hope to offer a variety of new classes for parents and kids of all ages. The idea behind these classes is that as a church, our job is to empower parents to take the primary role of faith development in the lives of their children.
